As a millennium project the Mothers' Union have planned, designed, sewn and embroidered a banner to represent the Wiverton Group of churches. The banner depicts our seven church buildings and will be carried at all official functions. It will be kept in each of the parish churches in rotation.

The project is entirely home-grown. The MU committee planned it, Kathleen Fletcher (Langar) designed it and a team sewed and embroidered it. The main seamstress and embroiderer was Edna Stanley (Langar) and the pole was turned and crafted by Arthur Swann (Cropwell Butler). The banner was dedicated at the Mothers' Union Deanery Festival on 27th September 2001 and received within the Group by Bishop George Cassidy in St Andrews on 7th October 2001.
